This week, we honor to members of the Grateful Dead.  Jerry Garcia's 75th birthday would have been next Tuesday.  Also this week in 1990, the bands third keyboardist Brent Mydland passed away.  The first hour consisted of live dead from their 1980 fall shows, released on 2 albums, Reckoning and Dead Set.  In the second hour, we salute Carlos Santana- his 70th birthday was July 20th.  We featured selections from Santana's first 2 albums, including the entirety of side 1 of Abraxas.

This week's show has 2 themes- but before we get to them, we start with a tribute to Jack Say- you may not know his name, but you know him as the composer of the Hartford Whalers Victory March (otherwise known as Brass Bonanza).  Jack (born Jacques Ysaye) passed away recently at the age of 94
