This week's show has 2 themes- but before we get to them, we start with a tribute to Jack Say- you may not know his name, but you know him as the composer of the Hartford Whalers Victory March (otherwise known as Brass Bonanza).  Jack (born Jacques Ysaye) passed away recently at the age of 94

Secondly,, it's the 40th anniversary of the great New York City blackout of '77, which lasted for 24 hours, knocking out all three major TV networks and spurred looting, including the destruction of several blocks of Broadway.  Finally, since we are in the midst of the growing season her in New England, songs about gardening and growing things in the garden.
