PROGRAM NOTES:

The first section of the show was a musical tribute to Nelson Mandela, who passed away earlier in the day at the age of 95.  Not only were songs specifically about Mandela included, but also some songs speaking out against apartheid.

The second section of the show featured music from the Grateful Dead, who appeared for the first time using that name this week in 1965- I featured music from earlier in their career, with the exception of the Jerry Garcia (and friends) song, which was recorded in 1987.
